      On May 16, the 2026 Guangdong Psychosomatic Medicine Forum, hosted by the Guangdong Mental Health Association and organized by Zhuhai Sailner Digital Medical Technology Co., Ltd., concluded successfully in the multifunctional hall of Building 01 at Zhuhai Sailner Technology Co., Ltd. Experts and scholars in psychosomatic medicine from within and beyond the province, together with frontline clinicians, gathered in Zhuhai to explore new paths toward high-quality development of integrated psychosomatic care.1 (2).JPG

      Aligned with national mental health service priorities, the forum focused on clinical applications of psychosomatic medicine, sleep health, medical ethics, chronic disease prevention and treatment, and diagnosis and care of anxiety and depression—addressing clinical pain points and industry trends, and building a high-quality academic exchange platform for standardized, refined development of psychosomatic medicine in Guangdong.

Opening Ceremony

      The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Hu Jun of the Department of Orthopedics, The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Professor Jia Fujun, President of the Guangdong Mental Health Association, and Mr. Yin Xinli, General Manager of Zhuhai Sailner Digital Medical Technology Co., Ltd., delivered remarks in turn, sharing perspectives on discipline building, academic collaboration, and industry–academia–research integration. They affirmed the forum's academic value and industry significance, expressed expectations for a successful meeting, and formally opened the event.

      The forum featured a strong academic lineup and practical, forward-looking content. Five provincial experts delivered keynote talks grounded in the frontiers of the field and real clinical settings, covering psychosomatic innovation, standardized diagnosis and treatment, chronic disease management, and medical ethics—content that was professional, practical, and forward-looking, providing solid academic support for discipline development and clinical service upgrades across Guangdong.

      The special sessions were held in two parts, chaired successively by Professor Chen Hexin (Director, Department of Otolaryngology, The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University) and Professor Chang Xu (Vice President, Panyu District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guangzhou). Multiple experts shared themes and joined discussion.

      This presentation focused on clinical application and industrial translation of new biomedical technologies, systematically mapping pathways for translating cutting-edge technologies into practice and exploring innovative models that integrate digital technology with psychosomatic medicine—offering new ideas and practical directions for disciplinary innovation and clinical deployment.

Addressing common sleep misconceptions among the public and clinicians with professional analysis, he shared standardized solutions for sleep disorder screening, clinical intervention, and full-cycle management, actively promoting the scientific concept of "treating body and mind together" and supporting standardized care for sleep disorders and refined public sleep health management.

Liu Junrong | Director, Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, Guangzhou Medical University

Drawing on real clinical settings, he analyzed ethical dilemmas and practice risks in informed consent, and offered compliance-ready solutions aligned with industry norms—providing professional guidance for institutions to practice medicine properly, strengthen ethics management, and mitigate practice risk.

Focusing on common geriatric chronic diseases such as osteoporosis, he shared the latest research progress and clinical pathways for prevention and treatment, refining geriatric chronic disease management systems to support long-term physical and mental health for older adults.

Xu MingzhiFormer Chair, Psychosomatic Medicine Branch, Guangdong Medical Association

      He systematically explained identification points, assessment criteria, and standardized care pathways for common psychosomatic issues such as anxiety and depression in general hospitals, detailing clinical screening and treatment practices to improve the standardization and precision of psychosomatic care.
