On July 22, the inauguration ceremony for the new campus of Southern Medical University Shenzhen Pingshan Hospital (People’s Hospital of Pingshan District, Shenzhen), together with the launch ceremony for relocating key clinical specialties of Southern Medical University, was successfully held. With the theme “New Pingshan Hospital, New Health, New Journey,” the event marked a new stage in Pingshan District’s healthcare service development.
The medical 3D printing laboratory jointly built by Zhuhai Sailner Digital Medical Technology Co., Ltd. and the hospital was unveiled at the event. Mr. Yin Xinli, Executive Deputy General Manager of the company, was invited to attend.
During the laboratory tour, Executive Deputy General Manager Yin Xinli accompanied visitors throughout and briefed Southern Medical University Party Secretary Zhang Yurun, Vice President Liu Shuwen, and other leaders on the laboratory layout, medical 3D printing equipment, and exhibits of anatomical and preoperative planning models, explaining the value of medical 3D printing for preoperative planning, surgical guide fabrication, assistance with complex case diagnosis and treatment, and doctor–patient communication in orthopedics, neurosurgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and other departments.
After inspecting the laboratory’s printing equipment and model display area, visiting leaders affirmed the hospital–enterprise co-built medical 3D printing laboratory model. They noted that digitalization and personalization are important directions for surgical care, and that bringing 3D printing into the hospital helps strengthen the technical capacity of Pingshan Hospital’s key specialties and enables patients in eastern Shenzhen to access digital diagnosis and treatment support closer to home.
Leveraging both parties’ resources, the jointly built medical 3D printing laboratory will support the relocation of key clinical specialties at Southern Medical University Shenzhen Pingshan Hospital, providing personalized 3D reconstruction and model printing, surgical guide fabrication, and other digital solutions for orthopedics, neurosurgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and related departments to help improve surgical precision.
Going forward, Sailner Digital Medical will continue to advance industry–academia–research collaboration with Southern Medical University Shenzhen Pingshan Hospital, leverage its medical 3D printing expertise, and jointly build an eastern Shenzhen medtech innovation platform to strengthen regional healthcare capacity.
