Guangdong Medical 3D Printing Application and Transformation Engineering Technology Research Center (Branch Center) Officially Established at Sailner
On September 26, 2020, the Guangdong Medical 3D Printing Application and Transformation Engineering Technology Research Center and Zhuhai Sailner Digital Medical jointly established the Medical 3D Printing Innovation Center Joint Research Platform, and the Guangdong Medical 3D Printing Application and Transformation Engineering Technology Research Center (Branch Center) was officially established at Sailner.
Leveraging this joint research platform, both parties will utilize their respective resource advantages in the 3D field to form innovative research teams. Driven by innovations in management systems and operational mechanisms, they will promote scientific research projects, optimize resource allocation, gather top talents, form innovative teams, enhance scientific innovation capabilities, produce high-level research achievements, and fulfill social service functions. Taking the actual needs of relevant cooperative medical institutions as scenarios, and combining the R&D resources of the Guangdong Medical 3D Printing Application and Transformation Engineering Technology Research Center, they will provide R&D, promotion, and practical training platforms for the engineering technology research center in digital modeling, 3D printing, and other areas. They will cultivate and deliver interdisciplinary talents combining medicine and engineering for the medical 3D printing field, providing more precise services for preoperative simulation, intraoperative navigation, and postoperative rehabilitation.
As the branch center platform, Sailner will carry out 3D printing technology and material development, medical application project development, and case-based practical training across multiple directions including hardware construction, talent development, project construction, guideline recommendations, and institutional development. It will build a technology innovation center with clinical resources and engineering capabilities. By synergistically integrating clinical and market resources, it will comprehensively enhance the research and application level of 3D medical printing, aiming to build the platform into a leading national joint research platform within 3–5 years.
